Manchester City striker Ferran Torres is set to be handed a new contract.
The Daily Star says Torres is set to land a new deal with Manchester City despite the recent ankle injury he suffered while on international duty.
The Etihad forward, 21, only signed a £40,000-a-week, five-year contract 14 months ago when joining the Premier League champions from Valencia in a £20.8million move.
But after scoring nine times in 28 league appearances to date, Torres is set to be rewarded with a bumper pay rise as well as an extension to his agreement.
He can expect that weekly salary to more than double to £100,000 and will also have another two years added, keeping him at the club until 2027.
Torres, who scored twice in City's opening three league games this season, is currently out injured with a broken metatarsal bone sustained on international duty earlier this month.
