Fernando Ortíz is living the dream by, temporarily, taking over the reins at football giants Club América.
However, the Argentine isn’t getting ahead of himself as he prepares for this weekend’s Concacaf Champions League final re-match at Rayados.
The new boss is well aware that he’ll need to pull off an incredible string of results in order to keep the position and is just taking everything one day at a time.
“I set the limit for myself, I can’t think about what’s going to happen after Saturday,” he said in his pre-match press conference.
“My goal is to give my best against Rayados, I’m realistic and I know what position I’m in. On Sunday, we will see what Fernando Ortíz is all about.”
The Eagles are currently tied for last place in Liga MX along with Rayados, though their counterparts have played two less games in order to achieve eight points.
