Felipe Anderson set to join Palmeiras when Lazio contract expires

Palmeiras have confirmed the pre-contract signing of Lazio midfielder Felipe Anderson.

The Brazil international was heavily touted with a move to Serie A counterparts Juventus when his deal at the Stadio Olimpico expired this summer.

But Anderson is now set to return to his homeland after agreeing a four-year contract with the country’s reigning champions which will run until December 2027.

The 31-year-old has made over 100 appearances for Lazio since joining from West Ham United in 2021 and reportedly turned down a new long-term deal.

But Anderson is now set to make the switch to the Verdão in July when he becomes a free agent.
