As we exclusively told you a few days ago, Rangers and PAOK agreed a fee for Antonio Colak (£2M), and have now followed that up with personal terms, but the curious decision is whether the Greek side are actually willing to sell the Croat, despite coming to parity on all the details.

In a strange twist, despite both parties agreeing on the entire deal, it is now down to Salonika to decide if they actually want to sell him, which is pretty bizarre at best.

The German-born Croat hasn’t been a huge success in Greece, but his record in Sweden and Croatia is top class, and of course he ran Rangers ragged v Malmo last summer.

So it seems the deal is close to being done, it’s just a question, curiously, of Salonika actually committing to the sale.

More as we get it.
