FC Dallas triumphed 3-1 over LA Galaxy as goals from Jesus Ferreira and Paul Arriola worked to cement the team’s second place on the Western Conference table and extend their unbeaten streak to a league-high nine games.

After concluding the 2021 Major League Soccer campaign in 11th place, the Texan side is on the rise.

“We’ve been playing well away but we haven’t been getting the wins that we wanted,” Estevez said.

“Today was about belief. We’re growing, we’re playing well as a team and we believe that we can win away against any team. I think the guys are seeing the progress and gaining confidence in the way we’re playing and executing in the right direction. All credit to the team today because they executed the game plan.”

FC Dallas also accomplished the feat without several key players; goalkeeper Maarten Paes, center back Jose Martinez and winger Alan Velasco. All three players were ruled unable to play due to the league’s health and safety protocols.

Goalkeeper Jimmy Maurer, Nkosi Tafai and Jader Obrian replaced the three figures to support Ferreira and Arriola as they led the side to victory.

“Our team shows that everybody is ready to step up for whatever reason. Like you said, three of us didn't play but three other guys popped up and played the role. We know anybody can play the system. Everybody is ready, we saw it during training and now I'm seeing during the game,” Ferreira said.

“It shows the league that we’re ready to play anywhere and against any team. We showed them that we can play here and dominate and win, so we're just sending a message that we're ready and we’re not going to back off from anyone.”

Ferreira’s goals propelled him to the top of the Golden Boot standings with nine goals, two above second place Sebastian Driussi.

The team returns to the pitch on Wednesday for a midweek clash against the Vancouver Whitecaps at BC Place.
