A bombshell in FC Bayern’s search for a coach! In the past few hours, those responsible at Munich have apparently begun concrete talks with former coach Hansi Flick about a return.

That would be a real coaching sensation: according to information from Sky, FC Bayern wants to bring Hansi Flick back to Säbener Straße.

According to the report, a return is now a concrete topic, with talks having begun in the last few hours today (Friday).

According to Sky, Flick is basically ready for a comeback to the German record champions‘ coaching bench. However, the deal is not yet finalised and there is still some work to be done.

Tapalovic and Klose as co-coaches?

However, the talks with Flick are apparently already so concrete that Flick’s team in Munich is already being discussed. According to the report, former goalkeeping coach Toni Tapalovic could now become co-coach. Miroslav Klose is also an idea.

However, according to Sky, Bayern are also continuing to look at other options, as they are „somewhat pre-damaged due to the past few weeks“. The management of Man United coach Erik ten Hag, for example, has been informed that the Dutchman is only an alternative if Flick does not end up succeeding Thomas Tuchel.

Most recently, the Bayern management had negotiated first with Julian Nagelsmann and then with Ralf Ragnick – but both ultimately turned the Munich club down. National coach Nagelsmann extended his contract with the DFB, while Rangnick preferred to remain the Austrian national coach.

A Flick return is more than just an idea, but „actually FC Bayern’s plan at the moment“ – and Flick is ready.

Flick was initially assistant coach at FC Bayern under Niko Kovac from 2019 and took over as head coach after the club parted ways with Kovac. With FCB, he won the six-tuple of championship, DFB Cup, German Super Cup, Champions League, FIFA Club World Cup and UEFA Super Cup in 2020. he won the championship again with Bayern in 2012 and then left the club after disagreements with the then sports director Hasan Salihamidzic.
