In the FA Women’s National League Southern Premier Division, Bridgwater United enjoyed a dramatic victory away to Portsmouth.

Northern Premier Division

AFC Fylde 2-0 Huddersfield Town Brighouse Town 0-1 Derby County Burnley 1-1 Nottingham Forest (Att: 107) West Bromwich Albion 0-1 Stoke City (Att: 100) Wolverhampton Wanderers 1-0 Boldmere St Michaels (Att: 393)

Burnley had to settle for a draw at home to Nottingham Forest, for whom Charlotte Greengrass scored before Millie Ravening’s 78th minute header. Wolves cut the Clarets lead at the top with a point but were restricted to a single goal by next-to-bottom Boldmere, Amber Hughes with the breakthrough eight minutes from time. Stoke are up to third after getting the only goal at West Brom through Roisin Kivel, Derby had a similar result at Brighouse thanks to Amy Sims, while Fylde had a good win over Huddersfield.

Southern Premier Division

Billericay Town 4-1 Crawley Wasps Oxford United 1-1 Ipswich Town (Att: 243) Portsmouth 2-3 Bridgwater United (Att: 349) Watford 5-1 Plymouth Argyle (Att: 431)

Neither of the leading pair won, as Oxford were held by Ipswich and Bridgwater pulled off a dramatic victory at Portsmouth with two very late goals. Watford went level on points with Pompey when putting five past Plymouth. Billericay beat Crawley 4-1 in the basement battle, led by Holly Turner’s second-half hat-trick.

Division 1 Midlands

Peterborough United 0-1 Doncaster Rovers Belles (Att: 376) Stourbridge 3-0 Leek Town (Att: 187) Wem Town 5-4 Lincoln City (Att: 69)

Stourbridge opened up a five-point lead with victory over Leek, Doncaster’s 1-0 result at Peterborough came with a Nadia Khan goal and saw them leapfrog the Posh and go third, while Wem edged a nine-goal thriller as Kimberley  Bebbington scored five times.

Division 1 North

Hull City 6-2 Bradford City (Att:421) Leeds United 5-0 Chorley (Att: 230) Merseyrail 0-0 Norton & Stockton Ancients Stockport County 3-0 Middlesbrough

Leeds went top with a 5-0 defeat of Chorley, Hull hit Bradford for six with four from Hope Knight. Merseyrail and Norton have now had seven draws between them after finishing goalless, Stockport overtook Middlesbrough by beating them 3-0.

Division 1 South East

Actonians 4-1 Wymondham Town Cambridge City 0-2 AFC Wimbledon Hounslow 0-9 Queens Park Rangers (Att: 95) London Seaward 2-1 Cambridge United (Att: 82) Hashtag United 4-0 Ashford Town (Att: 76)

Hashtag held the leadership by beating Ashford, London Seaward trailed to Cambridge United at half-time but Katherine Long levelled and then won it with a penalty as they rose to second place, a brace from Ashlee Hincks gave Wimbledon the points at Cambridge City.

Division 1 South West

AFC Bournemouth 2-0 Larkhall Athletic (Att: 156) Maidenhead United 0-5 Exeter City (Att: 76) Southampton Women 4-0 Swindon Town

Exeter replaced Cardiff in pole position after running out 5-0 winners at Maidenhead, Bournemouth are third after  beating Larkhall, Southampton Women fifth following their four goals against Swindon.

FA WNL Cup Preliminary Round

Newcastle pipped Durham Cestria on penalties, Liverpool Feds’ Demi Deveraux scored a 115th-minute decider as they won through at Barnsley, Gillingham eliminated Chesham.

FA WNL Plate Preliminary Round

Long Eaton United 0-10 Sporting Khalsa Moneyfields 2-2 Portishead (Portishead won 3-2 on pens) Sheffield FC 0-3 Northampton Town

Portishead progressed on penalties at Moneyfields, Northampton knocked out hosts Sheffield FC, Liv Woolston and Stacey Garnham both hit hat-tricks as Sporting Khalsa netted ten.
