Failure to qualify for Champions League could see Cristiano Ronaldo leave United
Stretty News
Although Portuguese super-agent Jorge Mendes went on record recently to state that Ronaldo is very happy at Manchester United, the five-time Ballon d’Or winner made it clear on social media that the team’s shortcomings were letting him down.
Ronaldo is a winner and everybody can see that this team is a million miles away from winning titles, even after his addition to the squad, which some pundits will argue has had a negative effect on performances this season.
However, if it wasn’t for Ronaldo’s goals, United would not be looking forward to the knockout stages of the Champions League.
According to The Sun, there has been talks this week between Ronaldo’s entourage and Richard Arnold, who is set to become the club’s new CEO on February 1.
It is believed that Ronaldo’s representatives are concerned at the way United are performing at the moment, while positioned 7th in the Premier League table and lacking what it takes to mount a title challenge.
Ronaldo will have one year left on his contract at the end of the season and turns 37 next month.
Will he get a better offer than the one he has at United in the summer? Hmm…
