Manchester United are going to play their Premier League season-opener against Crystal Palace in less than 24 hours. And ahead of the encounter, an Instagram comment from the reputed Italian transfer expert, Fabrizio Romano has left much of the Manchester United fan base into meltdown.
While replying to a comment on Romano’s post asked by a Manchester United fan page “United Chat” on whether the Italian journalist thinks United would sign anyone or not, Romano answered:
“LB and winger will arrive…step by step.”
It has been a quiet transfer window for Manchester United so far. Donny van de Beek‘s arrival from Ajax for an initial transfer fee of £35m is the only transfer confirmed by the club.
There were claims of United being interested in Sergio Reguilon, Gareth Bale, and Thiago. While the former two names decided to make a switch from Real Madrid to Tottenham Hotspur, the later joined United’s arch-rivals Liverpool in what could prove to be disastrous for the Reds.
Manchester United have been reportedly in talks to sign Alex Telles from Porto, with Jadon Sancho still remaining a firm target on Ole Gunnar Solskjaer’s transfer list.
With the reply, Romano hints that United are back in the business and will confirm deals subsequently.
