Federico Chiesa will not be becoming a Liverpool player any time soon by the sounds of Fabrizio Romano’s recent update on the situation.

Reports have been circulating in Italy that Liverpool had submitted a big bid for the European Championships winner, as they looked to take him away from current club Juventus.

However, Romano has said that there is no truth in such talk:

Perhaps we should not be so surprised by this news.

Ultimately, Juventus would want an absolute bomb to even consider selling the player and, as has been well-documented, Liverpool are not going to be spending that sort of money in the current transfer window.

Chiesa is a good player and will have a great career at the top level but, for now, he won’t be a Liverpool player any time soon.
