Cesc Fabregas insists Como aim to beat Inter in the last game of the season and confirms the Azzurri are interested in more Real Madrid players after the Nico Paz deal from last summer.
Como host Inter in the final game of the season tomorrow.
It’s played on Friday at 20:45 CET, the same time as Napoli-Cagliari, as, in case the Partenopei and Inter finish level on points, they’ll have time to play a Scudetto playoff on Monday, 26.
“We have to be careful. Inter are strong on the wings,” Fabregas said at a press conference on Thursday via TMW.
“They are the best team in Serie A and among the best in Europe. They are very strong, but we’ll try to cause problems for them. The goal is to always play at our best and do everything possible to try to win the match.”
The twisted fixture list was necessary as Inter will be playing in the Champions League Final on May 31 against PSG.
“I don’t think they’ll be affected by the Champions League Final, nor will they think about Napoli,” Fabregas continued.
“They are a strong side with one of the best coaches in Italy.”

Alessio Iovine and Pepe Reina are expected to start, making their final appearance for Como.
“Reina deserves to play; he has given me so much, on and off the pitch. Iovine is always positive,” Fabregas said.
“They are important guys for me, the club, and their teammates.”
Reports in Italy suggest that Real Madrid want to bring Nico Paz back to the Bernabeu. The Argentine joined Como permanently last summer, but the Merengues have a buy-back option.
“We don’t know anything. He’s our player, and for now, he stays with us. I don’t know if he’ll go to the Club World Cup with Real Madrid,” Fabregas said.
“We have an excellent rapport with them, and we are very interested in players on their team. We’ve made it clear that they can get minutes here.”
Spanish sources reported in March that the Real Madrid players attracting Como and Fabregas’ interest were Castilla’s top scorer Gonzalo, central defender Jacobo Ramón, and central midfielder Chema Andrés.
