The Women’s FA Cup Fourth Round took place from April 16-18 and there was plenty of action as teams fought for a spot in the next round on 16 May.

Burnley 0-6 Manchester United

Over at Lancashire FA Ground, five different players were on the scoresheet for Manchester United as they beat Burnley.

In the first half, Millie Turner and Ella Toone got the match off to a quick start then Lucy Staniforth and Amy turner joined in on the action.

Eventually, a second-half brace from Kirsty Hanson capped off the victory as United move on to the next round to face Leicester City.


Everton 2-1 Durham

Scorers: Pattinson 51′, Sørensen 90+1; Sharpe 46′

Durham travelled to Walton Hall Park at they put up a fight against Everton throughout the 90 minutes.

Goalless at the break, it was the visitors who struck first as Molly Sharpe’s curling effort found the back of the net but then six minutes later Poppy Pattinson made it 1-1.

The hosts left it late to pull away with a victory as Nicoline Sørensen scored the winner in stoppage time and Everton survive a scare to set up a clash with Chelsea in the next round.


Arsenal 10-0 Gillingham

Scorers: Roord 7′, 22′, 42′, Mead 12′, 89′, Little 15, Miedema 16′, Patten 60′, van de Donk 70′, Nobbs 72′

Arsenal let the goals fly at Meadow Park where they hosted Gillingham for their FA Cup tie.

In particular, a first-half hat-trick from Jill Roord helped the Gunners hold a 6-0 lead at halftime.

Eventually, Anna Patten, Danielle van de Donk and Jordan Nobbs also got in on the action as they helped cap off a 10-0 win for Arsenal and move on to the next round to play Crystal Palace.


Reading 2-3 Tottenham

Scorers: Williams 12′, Rowe 49; Kennedy 20′, Williams 48′, Naz 93′

For one of the few FA Cup ties pitting two Women’s Super League teams against each other, Reading hosted Tottenham at Madejski Stadium.

The hosts got off the mark first through Fara Williams but a free-kick from Alanna Kennedy levelled it for Spurs going into halftime.

Coming out after the break, Rachel Williams’ first goal for Tottenham handed them the lead but Rachel Rowe made it 2-2 at the 50-minute mark.

The visitors eventually walked away with the victory after Jessica Naz scored the winner in extra time and Spurs meet Sheffield United in the next round.
