Ten-player Exeter City drew with AFC Bournemouth to win the FA WNL Division 1 South West, Sporting Khalsa clinched the Midlands top spot.

NORTHERN PREMIER DIVISION

Nottingham Forest beat Stoke City to secure third place, Wolves having to settle for fourth despite victory at Liverpool Feds. Derby defeat Burnley at Turf Moor to finish seventh, Halifax hit Fylde for six and end up in the top half.

SOUTHERN PREMIER DIVISION

Rugby Borough’s 3-2 win at Chatham saw them take third spot, Ipswich Town beat Billericay to finish fourth with a big goal-difference lead over Oxford United, who had won at Cardiff.

DIVISION 1 MIDLANDS

Sporting Khalsa are champions after a 3-1 victory at Sheffield FC, who are now relegated. Loughborough Lightning were 19 behind the winners having won by the same score at Lincoln City. Peterborough were held at home by Leafield – who are now safe – but claimed third position on goal-difference from Boldmere.

DIVISION 1 NORTH

Chester le Street pulled off a 2-0 win at Leeds United but were still relegated, as York City did even better with a similar result at Middlesbrough. Durham Cestria pipped Barnsley to third by two goals following their draw at Chorley and the Tykes’ 3-2 defeat of Doncaster. Stockport’s win at Norton meant that they took fifth position from Leeds.

DIVISION 1 SOUTH EAST

AFC Wimbledon celebrated their title with a win in front of well over 2,500 at Plough Lane, Ashford Town downed runners-up Norwich City and finish fifth by a margin of three goals on QPR, who had an incredible 5-5 draw with AFC Sudbury.

DIVISION 1 SOUTH WEST

Exeter City came from behind to level against AFC Bournemouth and hold on for the draw, despite being reduced to ten players with a red card 10 minutes from time. The Grecians pipped the Cherries to the championship by two points, even though both sides remained unbeaten. Torquay were left heartbroken in their bid to stay up, a win would have saved them with Southampton Women’s loss but they narrrowly lost out in a nine-goal thriller to Swindon.
