Some Liverpool fans are sceptical about the job that Richard Hughes will perform for Liverpool this summer, though he could be the reason for one key signing.
Speaking exclusively to Empire of the Kop before Saturday’s legends game at Anfield, Gregory Vignal was asked for his thoughts on the potential signing of Milos Kerkez.
The 43-year-old said: “Yes, I like him a lot, offensive player, of course, up and down, a good left foot.
“Good attitude, technically he’s good on the ball, had a great season. So that could be a good option.
“Of course, Richard [Hughes] worked at Bournemouth with Andoni [Iraola], so he knows the manager really well. Maybe he will be a big plus, could be a good deal.”
The 21-year-old has been in superb form for Bournemouth already this season and could be a brilliant fit in our squad, if we can get a deal over the line.

With James Pearce confirming that the Hungarian is on the club’s ‘agenda’ for a summer deal, having an edge over any other potential suitors could be a big plus.
Fabrizio Romano shared a similar level of optimism around the left back and it seems that there is interest in completing a move to Anfield this summer.
Our sporting director’s history of working at the Vitality Stadium should stand us in good stead if the Cherries are interested in completing a deal.
Following in the footsteps of Michael Edwards, we’re all hoping to see a similar level of transfer success and providing Arne Slot with a strong option at left back could be a great way to start.
Keep an eye out soon for an extended interview with Vignal (and check out plenty more great content) on The Football Historian Podcast!
