Former Inter Milan manager Andrea Stramaccioni weighed in on the Giallorossi’s chances to go up against Simone Inzaghi’s team on Saturday night.

In an interview with Radio Romanista, Stramaccioni shared his views on Daniele De Rossi as Roma’s new head coach and the energy he can bring for this upcoming Serie A showdown.

“With De Rossi on the bench, Roma have a strong propensity for dribbling, and are capable of bringing danger towards the opponents’ penalty area. Daniele brought several innovations with him, which are gradually being interpreted by the players.”

“The attitude of the wing-backs is different: verticalisation seems to have become a dogma for them now. Cristante has been more aggressive, showing things that we had not seen before and which could prove decisive in this run of games.”

“Paulo [Dybala] seemed radiant to me even off the pitch, he is finding space and time to insert himself which makes him decisive even in a new area of the pitch. Now Roma will face a team that heavily relies on the flank and we will see how they fare.”

“One thing I really liked so far was the compactness of the midfielders, with Paredes appearing much more comfortable under De Rossi. With the 4-3-3 he can assert himself more.”

“Against Inter Paulo will have to sacrifice himself, but at the same time Inter will also have to pay attention to De Rossi’s substitutions. Now the Nerazzurri are also strong on the right, with Pavard breaking free and representing an important danger. However, Roma can play it openly and with less pressure, trying to take advantage of the attacking duo that was missing in the first leg.”

“Finally, I want to make a special mention of Bove who also entered very well against Cagliari, he is a fantastic lad who every coach would like to have on their roster. Even when you ask him to come in for a minute, he gives his all in those sixty seconds.”
