So far, Colombian international Cuadrado has not exactly hit the ground running at Inter.

This has been not been due to any lack of technical quality on the wingback’s part.

Cuadrado has been one of the best crossers of a ball in Serie A over eight seasons at Juventus.

And Inter brought the former Chelsea and Fiorentina veteran in to give a different dimension to the right flank compared to more robust players like Denzel Dumfries and Matteo Darmian.

When Cuadrado has appeared, he has shown that quality.

The 35-year-old has already bagged a couple of assists in a Nerazzurri shirt.

But all of these have come, crucially, in substitute appearances.

Juan Cuadrado To Start For Inter Vs Real Sociedad

The culprit behind Cuadrado’s lack of starts for Inter is his fitness issues.

The Colombian had come off the bench in each of the Nerazzurri’s first three matches of the season. These all came before the September international break.

But it was during the break that the problems started.

Whilst with his national team, Cuadrado began experiencing tendon issues in his calf.

And these continued to affect the 35-year-old during the coming months.

Cuadrado has been sporadically available as he’s dealt with these tendon problems.

But the past few weeks have seen potentially positive signs for Cuadrado.

The Colombian should finally be available to start.

Cuadrado did not start against Udinese on Saturday. Rather, Matteo Darmian started at right-wingback in that match.

But according to the Corriere, the Colombian will start this evening. He will give Darmian the chance to catch his breath on the bench from the start.
