Former Barcelona wonderkid Bojan Krkić has announced his retirement from football at the age of 32.
Bojan joined Barcelona aged nine and was a prodigious young talent who was said to have scored over 900 goals at youth level before making his senior debut for the club at 17.
He went on to play 143 games for the Blaugrana, winning three LaLiga titles and the Champions League twice during his time at the club.
The playmaker was only capped once by Spain at senior level, and after leaving Barça his nomadic club career took him to Roma, Milan and Ajax before he played for Stoke City in the Premier League.
Bojan scored 16 times in 85 appearances for the Potters before joining Major League Soccer outfit Montreal Impact (via loan spells at Mainz 05 and Aláves) in 2019.
He finished his career playing alongside Barça legend Andrés Iniesta for Vissel Kobe but has been without a club since his contract ended in Japan in January 2023.
On Thursday he went back to where it all began, announcing in a press conference at Camp Nou that he has decided to call time on his career.
