Liverpool have confirmed an open top bus parade on Monday May 26 after the Reds secured a 20th Premier League title. Here is everything you need to know ahead of the occasion.
Liverpool have officially been crowned Premier League champions for the second time in five years after their emphatic 5-1 victory over Tottenham Hotspur at Anfield on Sunday
The result sparked unforgettable celebrations both inside the stadium and across the city, as Arne Slot’s side secured the title with four games to spare. For many supporters, these celebrations were especially meaningful. When Liverpool last lifted the league title in 2020, fans were unable to celebrate properly due to COVID-19 restrictions
This time, however, the city will mark the occasion in style. Liverpool City Council has officially confirmed that a Premier League title parade will take place on Monday, 26 May, the day after Liverpool’s final home game against Crystal Palace.
Leader of the council, Councillor Liam Robinson, said: “We’re delighted to officially invite Liverpool Football Club to parade around the city on 26 May. A Liverpool victory parade is more than just football — it’s a celebration of our city’s pride, passion, and community spirit.”
The 15-kilometre parade route will be the same one used following the club’s 2019 Champions League triumph, as well as the parade to celebrate the team’s Carabao Cup and FA Cup victories in 2022.
The victory parade will begin earlier than previous events, starting at 2:30pm instead of 4pm, as the team is not returning from European competition this time.
The 15km route remains the same as previous parades in 2019 and 2022, starting at Allerton Maze in the south of the city and moving northbound along: Queens Drive, Mill Bank, West Derby Road, Islington, Leeds Street, The Strand.
The parade will finish at Blundell Street, and is expected to last between three to five hours, though timings are subject to change.
