Everton Women sign Netherlands striker Katja Snoeijs

Everton have signed Netherlands striker Katja Snoeijs on a free transfer from Bordeaux, until the end of June 2024.

The 25-year-old scored 19 goals in 42 games for Bordeaux and earlier finished top scorer in the Eredivisie in back-to-back seasons.

Snoeijs told evertontv: “This is a big club with a lot of history in the women’s game in England.

“England has the best league in Europe. I’ve followed this league from distance, and you see teams develop and grow.

“As a player, it’s something you want to be a part of.”

“I’ve been impressed with the conversations I’ve had so far with Brian [Sorensen],” she added.

“He’s the one who has got me excited for his Everton journey.

“I feel he’s the right coach to help the team grow and take this club forward.”
