The Athletic report that Everton are showing an interest in Bayern Munich left-back Adam Aznou (19). The Moroccan international returned to the Bundesliga champions in the summer ahead of the FIFA Club World Cup following a six-month loan spell at Real Valladolid, but doesn’t have a future with the Rekordmeister.
Following the departure of Ashley Young, Vitalii Mykolenko is the only option at left-back for Everton, and it’s an area that David Moyes wants to strengthen.
Born in Barcelona, Aznou arrived at Bayern Munich as a 16-year-old in 2022, signing a long-term contract. Jochen Sauer, Bayern Campus manager, had positive things to say about the former Spanish youth international: “Adam is a creative wing-back with a lot of attacking drive. He is quick, technically strong and has good crosses. We are convinced that he will strengthen our youth teams and are convinced of his potential.”
Aznou was awarded his Bundesliga debut by Vincent Kompany in a 3-0 win against Union Berlin in November, and played 25 minutes across four games before a loan move to Real Valladolid, where he played 13 games across all competitions.
