Abdoulaye Doucouré helped Everton get off the mark in Monday’s Premier League clash with Brighton.
Doucouré put Sean Dyche’s side ahead at the Amex Stadium by meeting Dominic Calvert-Lewin’s cutback from the byline after the Englishman’s impressive turn sent the visitors on a breakaway.
The French midfielder’s quick-fire opener after 34 seconds is the earliest goal Everton have scored in their current league season.
He then went on to double the lead just before the break.
Sometimes it’s worth starting ahead of schedule!
What a goal it could be in terms of their survival hopes.
