Everton manager Sean Dyche is set to earn at least £3.5 million as a bonus if he keeps the club up, reports the Daily Mail.

The former Burnley man replaced Frank Lampard in the Toffees’ dugout last week.

Dyche led Everton to an impressive 1-0 win over Premier League leaders Arsenal in his first game in charge.

The Merseyside club moved up to 18th in the table as a result.

Only goal difference keeps them below Leeds United, with three points between them and 14th-placed Leicester City.

Dyche signed a two-and-a-half year deal worth close to £5m a season with Everton. A bonus structure was also included as part of the deal.

The 51-year-old could even pocket more than £3.5m depending on where the club end in the final league table.

Dyche kept Burnley in the Premier League for five seasons and also made them punch above their weight.

He also helped the Clarets qualify for the Europa League for the first time in the club’s history.

The former Watford manager was sacked in April 2022. However, many Burnley fans believed he would have led them to safety if he was given more time.

Everton have never been relegated from the Premier League and Dyche will fancy his chances of keeping them up.

He is the Toffees’ eighth manager under owner Farhad Moshiri and will be keen to stay for the long term.

Everton face Liverpool at Anfield next Monday before playing Leeds United the following Saturday.

They have 17 games to save their season, and Dyche will have his mind on that £3.5m payout.
