Everton loanee Arnaut Danjuma set to sign for Lyon following Diego Moreira’s loan termination | OneFootball

According to Sacha Tavolieri, Arnaut Danjuma (26) should sign for Lyon from Villarreal. The Dutch international’s arrival at the Groupama Stadium hinged on the early termination of the loan of Diego Moreira (19) from Chelsea, the Belgian journalist reports.

With Lyon’s intentions to terminate the former Benfica winger’s loan from Chelsea confirmed by Fabrice Hawkins, this means that the arrival of Danjuma in Lyon could be imminent, according to Tavolieri. The former Bournemouth attacker is currently on loan at Everton from Villarreal. According to Foot Mercato, Danjuma is set to sign for Lyon on loan from Villarreal with a purchase option of €15m.

Moreira’s difficult spell at Lyon

Diego Moreira was a surprise loan signing from Chelsea late in the window as Lyon looked to reinforce their attack with an extra dimension. The 19-year-old has struggled to stamp his mark during his time in Ligue 1 – failing to score or assist in 9 appearances in all competitions. Moreira is now expected to return to Stamford Bridge.
