WSL Full-Time were informed of the news via an official club press release from The Pride this evening.
Campbell signed a short-term deal with Everton in September, however, that arrangement has been terminated by mutual consent, allowing the player to seal a move to London City Lionesses.
The Republic of Ireland international has spent more than seven years in the English professional game. She enjoyed a five-year stint at Manchester City before joining Liverpool in 2021. Campbell was a Barclays Women’s Championship title-winner in her first season with The Reds. The defender spent two years with Liverpool before joining the club’s Merseyside rivals Everton.
Campbell is known for her long throws and she will provide new club London City Lionesses with a very different option in the second half of the season.
After joining The Pride, Campbell said “I’m quite a physical defender and I like to be on the ball. I like to be in possession and play on a winning team. Defensively, I’m vocal, and hard in the tackle.
“Joining London City is a new challenge, with new surroundings and new teammates, but I’m looking forward to what’s ahead.”
Campbell is London City Lionesses’ fourth signing of the January transfer window.
