Everton have struggled for their survival in the Premier League in the last few years. This club, which was once considered one of the stable clubs in England, are now embroiled in a battle for survival every season. Their performance in the Premier League has been neither stable nor impressive. Instead of mid-table, they now appear in the lower end of the points table. Financial issues have also become a hindrance to the club’s pace, but the return of David Moyes has raised some hopes. He has resolved to revive the old club.

Everton have been continuously active in this summer transfer window. Players like Carlos Alcaraz, Thierno Barry and Mark Travers have joined the club. Every signing indicates that the club are now investing for the future. Trust is being shown in new faces by bidding farewell to old names. After the departure of Ashley Young, there was a lack of depth at left-back. In such a situation, Everton’s eyes are now set on a new young option.

According to the Daily Telegraph, Everton are looking to bring in young left-back Adam Aznou from Bayern Munich. Talks are ongoing between the two clubs for the 19-year-old. The deal could be worth around €9 million, as per the report. It is clear that Everton now want someone else in that position alongside Mykolenko.

Adam Aznou is fast, technically sound and knows how to contribute in attack. He is regarded as a progressive and modern full-back. He is yet to make his senior debut for Bayern, but has made a name for himself at the youth level. The 19-year-old can carry the ball forward, put in crosses from the flanks, and also has defensive solidity when needed.

Will Aznou be a good fit for Everton?

Given Everton’s current situation, investing in Aznou seems like a smart move. Bringing him in at 19 is part of a long-term vision. The team needs someone with new energy on that wing. Mykolenko stays put in defence, but Aznou would add to the attack. With both, Everton could balance that wing.

€9 million isn’t a huge bet. In today’s transfer market, this fee is normal for a promising wing-back. If Aznou can translate his talent to the Premier League, it could be a win-win for the club. David Moyes will have to give him match time and be patient. Overall, this signing could make Everton a little more modern.
