Everton are close to sealing a deal for Napoli winger Jesper Lindstrom, according to Fabrizio Romano.

If everything goes according to plan, Everton will pay the Serie A club a €3 million loan fee while holding a €22m option to buy in the agreement.

Personal terms are also being finalised, with the 24-year-old set to undergo a medical this week ahead of a move to Goodison Park.

The Merseyside club has been actively looking for attacking reinforcements this summer after missing out on Yankuba Minteh and Jaden Philogene.

Minteh signed for Brighton & Hove Albion, while Philogene returned to Aston Villa.

The Toffees brought back Jack Harrison on loan from Leeds United and secured a permanent deal for Iliman Ndiaye from Marseille.

However, Lewis Dobbin’s departure and Arnaut Danjuma’s loan expiration left manager Sean Dyche with limited options on the flanks.

Lindstrom joined Napoli from Eintracht Frankfurt last year but struggled for regular playing time in Italy, making only two starts in Serie A across 31 appearances.

However, he impressed during his two-year spell in Germany, contributing 14 goals in 80 games for Eintracht Frankfurt. He helped them win the Europa League title in 2022.

The Danish international has been capped 16 times and was a member of Denmark’s 2022 World Cup squad.

Lindstrom will add depth and competition to Everton’s attacking options. He is set to become Everton’s fourth summer signing after Harrison, Ndiaye and Tim Iroegbunam.

Everton are still in the market for wingers. They have set their sights on Leeds United star Wilfried Gnonto. The Italian international is a long-term target for the Merseysiders.

The 20-year-old bagged eight goals and two assists in 36 Championship appearances last term.

Gnonto was keen on a move to Everton last summer, and they are looking to revive their interest.
