In a recent report, journalist Dean Jones claimed that Everton are locked in a three-way battle for Eintracht Frankfurt ace William Pacho. It has been mentioned that the Toffees could face competition in the form of Crystal Palace and West Ham United in pursuit of the Ecuador international.

Pacho’s Impressive Run Of Form In German Football

The 22-year-old has been a dominant presence at the heart of Frankfurt’s defence as he has managed to put in a run of solid performances for them in the Bundesliga. Pacho has made 12 appearances for the German club this season in various competitions.

The Ecuador sensation has been a rock at the back and deserves a ton of credit for averaging 2.7 tackles, 2.0 interceptions and 3.3 clearances per 90 minutes in the Bundesliga. He has even been accurate with his ball distribution based on his pass success rate of 82% in the German top tier (stats via whoscored).

Pacho’s current deal at Eintracht Frankfurt will expire in the summer of 2028. Thus, Everton will have to pay a hefty fee if they want to stand a chance of winning the race for his services next year.

Will Pacho Be A Decent Signing For Everton Boss Sean Dyche?

Pacho can get stuck in with a few solid tackles to make life tough for the opposition attackers. He can read the danger well and can make some timely interceptions for his team inside his half. The Ecuador talent can clear the danger when needed and is also proficient at playing his way out from the back.

We can expect Pacho to bring more bite and steel to Sean Dyche’s defence. He has what it takes to help Everton steer clear of the Premier League’s relegation zone in the coming seasons.

At 22, Pacho has still got a lot of room for improvement. He is good enough to be a success story at Goodison Park in the long run. Hence, Pacho would be a decent signing for the Toffees to make when the transfer window commences in January. However, there are some concerns over whether the player can adapt to the physical side and high intensity of Premier League football.
