Oliver Bainbridge has spent the majority of his professional career so far at Sunderland. He currently plays for their under-21 side. He has featured in 12 games in the Premier League 2 this season and managed to provide two assists.

The English defender mainly plays as a left-back but is also equipped enough to operate as a centre-back if needed. He is a physically tall and strong guy with good defensive abilities. Going forward, he can also create real goal-scoring chances.

Bainbridge is one of the most promising left-backs in English football today. He can become a world-class defender with proper coaching and game time. Hence, many European clubs are interested in investing in the youngster. The player’s contract with Sunderland ends in the summer of 2025.

Everton should invest in Oliver Bainbridge

Everton’s alleged interest in 18-year-old Oliver Bainbridge is understandable as they don’t have a backup for Vitaliy Mykolenko. Bringing a left-back, who can serve as a cover for the Ukrainian, will be a priority for the English side in the summer window.
