Chelsea have become the first club ever to win all five major European trophies after coming from behind to thrash Real Betis 4-1 at Stadion Wroclaw in Poland, thanks to a brilliant second-half performance.
Betis started strong and took an early lead in the ninth minute, with Isco threading a clever pass through to Abde Ezzalzouli, who slotted it low into the far corner.
But after the break, the Blues came alive. Goals from Enzo Fernández, Nicolas Jackson, Jadon Sancho, and Moisés Caicedo turned the game on its head, sealing the title for the west London side.
A team scoring four goals in the second half of a European final? That’s not something you see every day...
In fact, it’s only happened three times in European final history.
The first was in 1960, when Real Madrid won their fifth European Cup by demolishing Eintracht Frankfurt 7-3. Four of those goals came after the break - three from the legendary Ferenc Puskás and one from the iconic Alfredo Di Stéfano.
The second? Chelsea again! In the all-English 2019 Europa League final in Baku, they swept Arsenal aside 4-1 with all four goals (Eden Hazard twice, Pedro Rodríguez and Olivier Giroud) coming in the second half.
Now, the Blues have repeated the feat - and made history in the process.
