Dino Toppmöller is expected to make two changes when his Eintracht Frankfurt side host Viktoria Plzeň in tonight’s Europa League game at the Deutsche Bank Park.
Hugo Ekitike and Robin Koch, both of whom started in Die Adler’s 2-0 win against Borussia Mönchengladbach on Saturday, will find a place on the bench in place of Niels Nkounkou and Igor Matanović, with Toppmöller likely to opt for a 3-4-3, as opposed to his preferred 4-4-2.
Eintracht also come into this game in excellent form, winning their last three Bundesliga games after losing their opening game against Borussia Dortmund. With solid performances against Hoffenheim, Wolfsburg and Gladbach, the Hessen outfit have scored seven goals in their last three games, with Omar Marmoush in excellent form.
The Egyptian forward has five goal contributions (four goals and one assist) in four Bundesliga games this season, and both Toppmöller and Eintracht fans will be hoping the 25-year-old can keep his scoring run going in the Europa League.
In attack, Marmoush should be complemented with Igor Matanović. The 21-year-old has come on as a substituted on in each of Eintracht’s four league games this season, and Toppmöller should reward the Croatia international his first start. A talented target man, Matanović scored 14 and created seven in 32 games for Karlsruhe last season.
