The Euro U21 2025 kicked off this Wednesday evening in Slovakia! France, Italy, Portugal, Germany, England, and Spain: the big nations are present, along with some of their stars.

Mathys Tel 🇫🇷

No Hugo Ekitike, no Maghnes Akliouche, no Arnaud Kalimuendo, no Enzo Millot, either injured or held back by their club, and, most notably, no Rayan Cherki, selected last week by Didier Deschamps; the offensive leader of the French U21 team for this Euro is named Mathys Tel!

The Tottenham striker arrives with confidence, having played more and more towards the end of the season and having won the Europa League with the Spurs. Tel has all the qualities and experience, already, despite being only 20, to finish as the tournament's top scorer!

Geovany Quenda 🇵🇹

Geovany Quenda is undoubtedly the headliner of this Euro U21 2025.

The 18-year-old Portuguese super talent, who will join Chelsea on July 1, 2026, from Sporting for 52 million euros, is considered by many as one of the great talents of tomorrow's football, alongside Lamine Yamal.

Having become Sporting's youngest scorer ahead of a certain Cristiano Ronaldo, Quenda can shine as early as this Wednesday evening against... the French team.

Nick Woltemade 🇩🇪

If you followed the last Nations League match between France and Germany this Sunday, this name probably rings a bell!

Nick Woltemade played the first 45 minutes of that game and caused a lot of trouble for the French. His coach took him off at halftime to preserve him for this Euro U21.

The 23-year-old striker (he can participate in the tournament as he was under 21 at the start of the qualifications) is coming off a major season with Stuttgart: 17 goals, including 12 in the Bundesliga. He will be the key man in the German attack!

Ethan Nwaneri 🇬🇧

A revelation of the season at Arsenal, Ethan Nwaneri, the youngest player ever to wear the Gunners' jersey in an official match, is the key player of this English squad.

The 18-year-old winger played 37 matches this season, and he will be the main offensive asset of one of the competition's favorites!
