Manchester United winger Antony is enjoying a superb spell on loan at Real Betis at the moment, and it seems this has attracted the attention of Atletico Madrid.
The Brazilian winger ended up being a major flop at Man Utd after what initially looked like an exciting signing from Ajax.
Antony failed to live up to expectations at Old Trafford and was subsequently sent out on loan back in January, and he’s now looking back to his best with Betis.
It remains to be seen if Antony could now stay there or perhaps get another chance at United, but it seems he’ll also have other opportunities.
According to El Chiringuito, Atletico Madrid have enquired about Antony, who could be available for a fee in the region of €40-50m…

United clearly have a big decision on their hands here, as they won’t want to risk letting a talented player go when he finally looks like he’s about to explode at the top level.
It might be that the 25-year-old just needed a bit of time away from MUFC to find his feet again and get his confidence back.
At the same time, perhaps it’s just not ever going to work out for him in English football, and this is an ideal opportunity to cash in on him.

Atletico’s interest in Antony makes sense after seeing how well he’s adjusted to playing in Spain so far.
Spanish football expert Ruairidh Barlow has praised Antony’s impact so far in his latest piece on the Betis loanee’s future.
He said: “Antony is enjoying a fine second half of the season on loan at Real Betis, where he has become one of the shining lights of a revolution in Seville.
“Antony has made the right side his own at Real Betis, becoming a regular under Manuel Pellegrini.
He added: “Betis would be delighted to keep Antony, but Manchester United will first and foremost seek a sale, with their presumed asking price around €45-50m this summer. That would be well beyond Betis’ means.”
