Three players have now struck twice at the tournament
The race for the Golden Boot at Euro 2024 is just getting going with Jamal Musiala the first player to notch their second goal at the tournament, before Slovakia’s Ivan Schranz and Georgia’s Georges Mikautadze joined him on that mark.
Musiala scored for hosts Germany in both Group A wins over Scotland and Hungary, while Schranz found the back of the net against both Belgium and Ukraine. Mikautadze struck against Turkey and followed it with a cool penalty as Georgia earned a draw with Czech Republic.
In total, 47 players have all scored once now including England duo Harry Kane and Jude Bellingham, with five players already conceding own goals.
Kylian Mbappe will be hoping to get off the mark soon as he prepares to play in a face mask for France after breaking his nose in the win over Austria in Group D.
Romelu Lukaku saw two efforts disallowed in Belgium’s shock loss to Slovakia, while Cristiano Ronaldo did not score in Portugal’s dramatic opening win over the Czech Republic.
Here are the latest Golden Boot standings at Euro 2024...
