Manchester United travel to Selhurst Park for the final game of the season this weekend and it is expected that new manager Erik ten Hag will be attending the match.

Ten Hag began work at United this week, but he won’t take charge of the team until Ralf Rangnick ends his term as interim manager on Sunday.

The 52-year-old arrives in the UK after winning his third Eredivisie title as Ajax manager. He knows that the job at Old Trafford is an almighty challenge, so in order to get started early, he decided to terminate his contract at the Dutch giants six-weeks early.

According to the Telegraph, Ten Hag flew from Amsterdam to London by private jet on Wednesday afternoon with his assistant Mitchell van der Gaag and the pair were due to meet staff at the club’s London offices on Thursday.

He is expected to remain in London and travel to Selhurst Park on Sunday to see his new players take on Crystal Palace.

United will be hoping to clinch their place in the Europa League next season in order to avoid the Europa Conference League.

Crystal Palace v Manchester United

Manchester United round off their miserable Premier League season with a clash against the Eagles.

Palace have had a decent season under Patrick Vieira, who has surprised quite a few people since replacing Roy Hodgson, and they will be aiming to seal a finish in the top half of the table with a win on Sunday.

The match gets underway at 4pm.
