Erik ten Hag has been sounded out as a possible replacement for Marco Rose at Borussia Monchengladbach.

The Ajax boss has reportedly even spoken to Gladbach’s technical director Max Eberl, according to Bild.

Current Gladbach head coach Rose has been strongly linked with the vacant position at Borussia Dortmund which has pre-empted Eberl into making moves to appoint his successor.

Bild believe that Ten Hag is a serious candidate for the role should it become available.

The 50-year-old led Ajax to the league and cup double in 2018-19 while also embarking on a spectacular run to the semi-finals of the Champions League.

There has been no official comment made by anyone at Gladbach in relation to Rose leaving the club, with Dortmund losing 4-2 when the sides met on Friday.
