Stade Rennais mean business and are close to completing a double swoop of two of their local rivals’ best players, FC Lorient playmaker Enzo Le Fée (23) and FC Nantes’ versatile forward Ludovic Blas (25), according to a report from Foot Mercato.
Le Fée is currently on international duty with France’s U21 squad. Les Bleuets have qualified for the tournament’s quarter-finals after setting a perfect record in the group stage, racking up three wins out of a possible three.
Lorient are set to pocket €25m from the sale of Le Fée, who will put pen to paper over a five-year deal with Les Rouge et Noir. The Bruno Genesio-led side have qualified for the Europa League’s group stage courtesy of their fourth-place finish in Ligue 1. The opportunity of playing European football has also appealed to Blas. The former Guingamp youth product will leave Les Canaris for their Breton rivals in a €15m deal, according to both Foot Mercato and L’Équipe. The outlet adds that only minor details need to be thrashed out between the two clubs. Blas will reportedly sign a four-year deal with Rennes and reject interest from La Liga clubs.
