England will face Bosnia and Herzegovina and Iceland in warm-up games for this summer's European Championship.

Gareth Southgate's side will play the Bosnians at St James' Park on June 3 before hosting Iceland - their conquerors at Euro 2016 - at Wembley on June 7.

Both opponents are aiming to book their place in Germany via the play-offs in March, with Bosnia and Herzegovina taking on Ukraine and Iceland facing Israel.

The matches will come after Southgate has already named his squad for the Euro 2024 finals, with next month's friendlies against Brazil and Belgium at Wembley the last chance for players to make their case in an England shirt.

England will face Serbia, Denmark and Slovenia in the group stage next summer, and are due to travel to their training base near Erfurt on June 10 - six days before their opening game against the Serbians in Gelsenkirchen.

It will be England's first-ever meeting with Bosnia and Herzegovina and their first game at Newcastle's St James' Park since 2005.

"We will follow that with another special occasion at Wembley, allowing our fans the opportunity to give us a final send off before we head to Germany for another exciting summer.
