Sport Bild reports that Eintracht Frankfurt are already preparing for the potential departure of striker Omar Marmoush and has a plan in place.
Marmoush is attracting interest from around Europe after his very strong start to the season which sees him top of the Bundesliga goal-scoring charts alongside Harry Kane with 11 goals, whilst he also has seven assists in the league as well.
This has meant that Frankfurt have to prepare for a potential departure in the summer, as they will not stand in the Egyptian’s way if a good enough offer comes in.
Die Adler’s solution is to keep striker Hugo Ekitiké at the club. The Frenchman has also had an impressive start to the season alongside Marmoush and it has already been relayed to him that he will stay at Frankfurt if his strike partner leaves.
Frankfurt also have Igor Matanovic in their ranks who could replace Marmoush. Although a slightly different profile to the Egypitan, Matanovic has been used regularly off of the bench in his first season of top-flight football. Another option could be to enter the market once again, Rennes’ Arnaud Kalimuendo is said to be one of the five potential successors that Frankfurt have identified for Marmoush.
