Eintracht Frankfurt have made a £28.5 million bid for Newcastle United striker William Osula, according to Sky Sports journalist Keith Downie.
Newcastle are open to selling the Dane after signing Germany international striker Nick Woltemade and with the imminent arrival of Brentford striker Yoane Wissa.
Osula is expected to leave St James’ Park club ahead of the 7pm transfer deadline today, but he has interest from the Premier League too.
The 22-year-old scored in the 3-2 defeat to Liverpool last Monday, and Aston Villa are one of those looking to keep him in England.
Villa manager Unai Emery wants a quality cover and competition for Ollie Watkins, who has drawn blanks in 270 minutes of Premier League action in 2025-26.
A deal could tempt Osula but Newcastle would be looking at selling him, and Villa may not be able to afford buying him right now.
He joined the Magpies from Sheffield United for around £15m last summer, and selling him for a profit would appeal to the Toons.
Alexander Isak is also expected to join Liverpool for around £130m today having pushed to leave all summer.
Wissa is the only player who has been linked with a move to SJP today, but manager Eddie Howe could be open to completing some late deals if the opportunities arise.
Selling both Osula and Isak would give Newcastle enough room to complete a couple of moves in the coming hours, and the club are in dire need of attacking firepower following a winless start to the 2025-26 Premier League campaign.
Howe will hope both Wissa and Woltemade have what it takes to replace the goals of Isak going forward.
The soon-to-be Liverpool striker had been a guaranteed source of goals for the Magpies, and his absence was felt in their opening three games of the season.
