Ipswich, former champions of England in the 60s and Uefa cup winners in 1980, are far too big a side to be playing in the third division.

Hard times have fallen on the Suffolk club, but if there trajectory from this term continues, Bobby Robson’s old club will be back near the top soon enough.

They’ve got off to an unbeaten start to life in League One so far this season, drawing one and winning four of their five matches, with their latest victory coming against Blackpool on Saturday.

Paul Lambert’s men won 4-1 away from home with Wales youth international Gwoin Edwards netting two either side of half time.

It was a real clinic from Ipswich, a side who are, to put it simply, just brilliant in both boxes – a skill that can certainly take you places in League One.

Cambridge, once the most workmanlike of League Two sides, are now scoring goals for fun – in fact, their 10 goals is the most in League Two so far this season.

They grabbed two more on Saturday as a Paul Mullin double ensured that things are looking up on the River Cam.
