The English Football League (EFL) have made contact with West Brom who are reportedly still owed money from Barcelona, for the transfer of young striker Louie Barry.
Barry opted to join Barça last summer instead of signing professional terms with West Brom, who were then entitled to a standard £235,000 compensation fee.
However, according to Express Sport, the Championship are yet to receive an official fee almost nine months later.
There is also added frustration from West Brom after Barry lasted just six months at Barcelona, joining bitter rivals Aston Villa for an initial fee of £880,000 in January.
It remains to be seen whether official legal action can be taken but both clubs are expected to ‘sit down and resolve matters’ in the coming months.
Barry is still considered one of the most talented English players in his age group.
