Eden Hazard not worried by bad stats

It’s six games since Eden Hazard scored or assisted a goal for Chelsea but the Belgian isn’t too concerned.
Chelsea’s form has been poor in recent weeks and Hazard is far from exempt from that. However, whether or not he scores or creates goals is besides the point for him.
Of course, that doesn’t mean he’s happy at the moment.
“For the last two months, no,” the attacking midfielder told Sky Sports when he was asked if he was happy with his form.
“Because the results are not good. I don’t play football just for me, I play for the team. If I play good, but we are not winning, I am not happy. That’s it.”
Hazard’s output has dropped since the turn of the year but some would argue that’s a symptom of a stuttering team rather than a player out of form.
The 27-year-old is happier to focus on results rather than what leads to them.
“It’s better for me to play very bad and at the end of the game we win 1-0. I don’t like stats, I play for a long time, so I am on the pitch to enjoy.
“If I can score, I score. If I can assist, I assist. But I just want to be happy on the pitch, and when you are winning you are happy, and when you are not winning you are not happy.”
That explains his discontent – Chelsea have won just three of their last eight games.
Maybe they can stop the rot this weekend, when they visit Southampton. Hazard’s happiness depends on it.
