It was another busy afternoon of action in the Bundesliga thanks to some exciting matchday two fixtures.

After last week’s blistering start to the new season, Borussia Dortmund were brought down to earth with a bump away to Freiburg on Saturday afternoon.

The home side took the lead on six minutes when Vincenzo Grifo curled a fantastic free-kick in off the post to send the home support before Jude Bellingham hit the post with the closest opportunity BVB had to level before the break.

Gregor Kobel showed what an astute signing he looks to be with some smart goalkeeping but was powerless to prevent Freiburg doubling their lead when the ball broke for Roland Sallai in the area and he volleyed low into the corner.

Marco Rose’s men did get themselves back into it just before the hour mark when a nice move down the the right skewed into the net off Yannik Keitel after Jude Bellingham had fluffed his lines.
