Nkounkou is set to join Championship side Cardiff City on loan, says the Athletic

The 21-year-old has signed a new contract with the club and a loan move to Cardiff could be finalised tomorrow.

Nkounkou, formerly of Marseille, spent last season on-loan with Standard Liege in Belgium.
