Dominic Solanke is a man on a mission this season, and with his opener in Saturday’s 2-2 draw with Manchester United, has etched his name into the Bournemouth history books.
The striker was the beneficiary of a bad giveaway from the visitors and after some fancy footwork sent a Willy Kambwala to the ground, lashed his effort home from the edge of the box.
With that strike, Solanke has set a new Bournemouth record for most goals in a single Premier League campaign, with 17.
That tally sees him move past Josh King, who scored 16 goals for Eddie Howe’s Cherries just under a decade ago.
It’s a new era at the Vitality Stadium under Andoni Iraola, and Solanke is leading from the front.
