Domainer: Where Stefano Pioli ranks among best paid coaches in Serie A | OneFootball

The full list of how much each Serie A head coach earns in salary has been revealed, according to a report, and Stefano Pioli is not on the podium.

According to the research site Domainer.com (via Calciomercato.com), the combined salaries of Serie A coaches for the 2022-23 season will be around €50m in total, a figure that feels large but in truth still tails behind the Premier League and LaLiga.

Massimiliano Allegri and José Mourinho lead the league with €7m net per year, followed by Simone Inzaghi who gets €5m. In fourth place is Pioli, who gets a figure close to €4m and therefore exceeds Gian Piero Gasperini and Maurizio Sarri, both at €3.5m.

Luciano Spalletti is achieving excellent things with Napoli but is only seventh place among the highest paid coaches at €2.8m for the year, while the last two places in the top 10 are occupied by Ivan Juric (€2m) and Gabriele Cioffi (€2m).

As for the expirations of the contracts, the two longest agreements are those of Allegri and Sarri, both expiring in 2025. The contracts of Pioli, Inzaghi, Mourinho, Gasperini, Juric and Cioffi will expire in 2024.
