Everton will welcome Tottenham Hotspur at Goodison Park on Saturday afternoon as they look to secure a win at home in the Premier League. The Toffees managed to earn a solid 0-0 draw away at Fulham recently which should keep them in good spirits ahead of this game.

Sean Dyche will set his team up in a 4-4-1-1 formation and is expected to make some changes to his first XI for this game. Lewis Dobbin and Nathan Patterson could get a chance to impress from the start of this clash.

Defence

Jordan Pickford will operate in between the sticks for the Toffees after he secured a clean sheet versus Fulham in his last outing. Jarrad Branthwaite will function alongside James Tarkowski at the centre of the Everton backline as they try to keep the Tottenham forwards frustrated throughout the 90 minutes.

Nathan Patterson will fill in as the right-back while Vitaliy Mykolenko hopes to give a good account of himself on the other side as the left-back. Dyche will ask both of them to perform their defensive duties well so that they can restrict the chances that the opposition create from the wide areas.

Ben Godfrey and Michael Keane will be named on the bench as they provide cover for the defensive positions.

Midfield

James Garner and Lewis Dobbin will operate as Dyche’s holding midfielders as they focus on making life difficult for the opposition at the centre of the park. Dwight McNeil will try to impress on the left-wing while Ashley Young looks to work his socks off on the right flank.

Jack Harrison will get an opportunity to catch the eye from the number ten position. He would have to carry some of the creative burden for the Toffees in the final third.

Youssef Chermiti will be named on the bench as he waits for his chance to make an impact in the second 45 minutes if required.

Attack

Dominic Calvert-Lewin will spearhead Dyche’s attack up top. The English striker has to find a way to threaten the Tottenham goal during the 90 minutes.

Beto will be available for selection on the bench and might come on to influence the game in the final quarter of the game if needed.
