Defender set to head out to Slovenia for international tournament

José Lima has named his Portugal U19s squad for the upcoming Nations Cup Slovenia 2023 Tournament, with Academy defender Diogo Monteiro called up.

Portugal will face Kazakhstan (September 6), Iceland (September 9) and Mexico (September 12), with the matches played in Kranjska Gora, Slovenia.

Monteiro has played every minute for Leeds United's U21s this season, including the 2-1 win over Manchester United, and captained the side in the most recent game against West Ham.
