Real Madrid faced off against Arandina at El Montecillo earlier tonight as they hoped to secure a victory in the Copa del Rey. Los Blancos made a solid start to the game but were held to a scoreless draw at the half-time break.

Joselu broke the deadlock from the penalty spot in the 54th minute before Brahim Diaz doubled Real Madrid’s lead just a minute later. Rodrygo killed the game off in injury time. However, Nacho scored an unfortunate own goal in the dying embers of the contest as Real Madrid secured a comfortable 3-1 win on their travels.

Let’s take a look at how each Real Madrid player fared during the clash against Arandina.

GK: Kepa Arrizabalaga – 6/10

The Spaniard didn’t have to make a save in the game and would be very disappointed after conceding such a late goal which ruined his hopes for a clean sheet.

RB: Vinicius Tobias – 7/10

He kept things solid when defending inside his half and was bright on the ball.

CB: Alvaro Carrillo – 7/10

Carrilo produced a matured display on the defensive third of the pitch and was strong in the air.

CB: Nacho – 5/10

He kept things solid at the back for most of the contest but won’t be happy after conceding a late own goal.

LB: Fran Garcia – 6/10

He used his quickness well at times on the left flank but struggled to influence the game going forward.

CM: Eduardo Camavinga – 7.5/10

Camavinga anchored the midfield with conviction and was replaced after the hour mark.

CM: Dani Ceballos – 7/10

The Spaniard was a positive influence at both ends of the field.

RW: Nico Paz – 5.5/10

He struggled to get into the flow of the game and produced a lackluster performance in the opponent’s half.

CAM: Arda Guler – 6.5/10

Guler looked a bit rusty at times but was lively on the ball.

LW: Brahim Diaz – 8.5/10

Diaz was quiet in the first half and produced a match-winning display in the second. He scored one and had a hand in both of Real Madrid’s other goals tonight.

ST: Joselu – 6.5/10

He gave Los Blancos the all-important lead via the penalty spot. Joselu offered very little otherwise.

Substitutes:

ST:  Rodrygo – 7/10

Rodrygo scored in injury time.

CM: Federico Valverde – 6/10

His impact on the game was minimal.

CM: Mario Martin – 7/10
