Inter have made Pavard their top target in defense.

Nerazzurri CEO Beppe Marotta made no effort to hide the fact. And coach Simone Inzaghi has also admitted that he wants the Frenchman in his squad by the end of the summer transfer window.

And now, Inter’s pursuit of Pavard is getting close to the finish line.

Di Marzio reports that the Nerazzurri’s highest offer stands at €27 million plus €3 million in add-ons. This comes to €30 million in total.

He reports that Bayern still haven’t accepted Inter’s bid. But, they are working to try and work out an agreement with Inter.

And the final handshake could well arrive as early as today.

Inter & Bayern Close In On Pavard Agreement

According to Di Marzio, the talks are ongoing between Inter and Bayern.

And the clubs are not far away from working out all the terms on a transfer.

He reports that the Frenchman’s pushing for the transfer to happen has been key. He has made no secret of the fact that he wants to leave Bavaria, and that joining Inter is his priority.

Therefore, Bayern have accepted, even with some reluctance, the need to try and agree a deal.

Pavard joined Bayern in the summer of 2019 from Stuttgart.

Since his arrival, the Frenchman has made a total of 163 appearances for the German champions. He has scored twelve goals in the process.

Meanwhile, Pavard has made 49 appearances for the French national team. He made his debut for Les Bleus in 2017, and was a regular starter as they won the 2018 World Cup.

Pavard was also part of France’s squad at the 2022 World Cup in Qatar. However, he did not start in the final against Argentina.
